Kayla holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. Prior to earning her master's degree, she attended Sewanee: The University of the South, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and performed neuroscience research on the effects of drugs on the developing brain. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a member of the AANP and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her favorite parts of being a nurse practitioner include getting to know patients and their families and working closely with patients to devise a treatment plan that is both manageable and effective.
Born and raised in Soddy Daisy, Kayla is excited for the opportunity to return home and care for individuals in this area. When she's not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking care of her rescue cat Hazel, kayaking, and going to the movies.
